Take advantage of the All Saints' Day vacation to travel to Japan... or rather to Nice, to the Musée des Arts Asiatiques to discover a selection of 126 prints by Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849) from the Georges Leskowicz Collection.

The superb Guggenheim-like museum presents 126 prints on one of Hokusai's favorite themes: Mount Fuji.
Hokusai's incessant research and daring creativity renewed the codes of the traditional Japanese landscape motif, creating veritable "living rooms", which the exhibition showcases in a scenography closely linked to its "setting" designed by architect Kenzo Tange.

Another central work on display is the Wave of Kanagawa, a veritable encounter between Asia and the West, into which visitors are invited to plunge to "refresh" their gaze and better appreciate the graphic subtleties of the Master's work.

The exhibition also features manga works that allow visitors to project themselves into the sublime landscapes of Edo period Japan.
