Small Japanese metal box (traditionally for incense, but can also be used as a pill box) with relief decoration of various metals inlaid with peonies, frogs, butterflies and other insects.
Superb chasing and zōgan work (similar to that found on tsuba and other sword mounts).
Very good condition despite a few snags. No missing inlays.
Unsigned, but in the style of Takase Kozan.
