Bowl by Mikio Ōsako (1940-1995).
Very fine work with an ashy glaze.
Exhibited at New York's Metropolitan Museum, Mikio Ōsako dedicated himself to reviving the traditions of Japan's oldest of six ancient kilns, Tokoname.
Inspired by Sueki and Yakishime ceramics, his works are marked by natural ashy glazes.

Sold in its signed wooden box.
