Cabinet in black lacquered wood decorated with falcon and pines in hira maki-e - Meiji 19th c.

Black lacquered wood cabinet with falcon and pine motifs, branches... in hira maki-e with eight drawers and two doors.
Very fine craftsmanship throughout.
Wavy drawers and fine chasing on all metal parts.
Some missing parts, late retouching of the gilded paint on the right-hand door.
A key is supplied but no longer works (the locks, although present, need to be revised for locking).
Meiji period 19th c.
