Rare brown lacquered jingasa in bajō shape with the kamon (emblem) of the Kasai clan.
Exterior lacquered brown-black imitating leather: a finish combining strength and delicacy.
This jingasa has several distinctive features:
– The Kamon emblem is made of inlaid, unpainted metal. It is in perfect condition
– the helmet features a slight "fold" at the front, giving volume and character to the emblem depicted
– the entire perimeter of the jingasa is encircled with metal
A very beautiful room with a red lacquered interior.
Mid-Edo 18th century
In perfect condition despite a few missing parts.
