Ceramic Okimono depicting a peasant - 20th c. - RESERVED

Beautiful polychrome ceramic okimono depicting a Japanese peasant.
The man is in his period costume and wears the emblem of his clan (either that of the Tsutsui of Yamato or that of the Saitō clan of Mino province).
Very good color preservation. The head has been glued back on, but this does not detract from the aesthetics of the piece.
