Print by Utagawa Kunisada III (1823-1880) depicting a woman returning from fishing in Kanagawa.
Print from the series (Tōkaidō Gojūsan Tsui) "The Pairs of the Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō".
(n.b. the term "pair" refers to the association between a life scene and the view from the Tōkaidō).

This beautiful print depicts a woman (a priori a fisherman's daughter) in a boat, holding a lobster or crayfish in her hand.
The text seems to present the legend of the famous fisherman Urashima and his voyage to the underwater kingdom (but its lack of legibility may also suggest a fictitious moji-e text, as the cursive script is not easy to read).

Original oban tate-e print.
Signed.
Very good condition, no yellowing.
