"Women of the Enpo era [1673-81] - Barrel doll, Yanho woman".

Beautiful composition showing a family putting on a show by raising a doll made from a small barrel.
A very poetic moment, marking the distinction between this porcelain-skinned, traditionally-dressed beauty and the audience, a simpler-looking couple in their everyday lives.
Superb work of composition and use of gradations, as Toshikata knows so well how to do. One of the most beautiful in the series.

Very good condition despite slight yellowing of the paper and a stain on the bottom of the print.
