Luc Hédin: founder of KOGEIYA and specialist in Japanese decorative arts, Japanese and Korean antiques
A Japanese art historian's passion and vision
Passionate about Japanese culture, I specialized in ancient Japanese arts and decorative arts during my studies at the Sorbonne...
As an alumnus of Sorbonne University Paris IV & I, my academic background is a blend of law and art history. I obtained a Master's degree specializing in the Far East, during which I carried out in-depth research into aesthetics in the Japanese warrior arts, with particular reference to tsuba.
At the same time, and out of my love for Korea, I honed my eye and began to specialize in Korean arts, which may be less well known in France, but are just as fascinating.
To offer art objects from Japan and Korea... but above all to share my knowledge.
Alongside my antiques business, I'm active on social networks and in video on Twitch and YouTube.
The idea is to pass on my passion and share facets of Japanese and Korean art in live form.
- It's a practical video format that lets people who are new to art - but who love Japan and Korea - discover the art and decorative arts of these cultures that I appreciate so much.
- Lecture" formats, complemented by videos on TikTok and Instagram with a more "pop culture" angle than the positioning I have with Kogeiya... because beyond art, I'm a lover of video games, "figurine" culture and design.
Don't hesitate to follow me!
